Where Old Objects Find New Lives
I'm a retired occupational therapist who spent over three decades using the creative arts to help people meet their therapy goals. Besides making jewelry, I'm active in Horseshoe Crab conservation along the Delaware Bay Beaches and spend lots of time with my family. My images are of recent pieces although I've been making jewelry for over 15 years, starting with beading, then progressing to metalwork (initial instruction at The Creative Metalworks School in suburban Washington, DC), and now incorporate lapidary and spot welding techniques. I prefer old or natural objects with a story and mixing materials to produce unique but wearable products. I believe learning never ends and continue attending classes and seminars along the east coast.
